Welcome To The World Of Black News

This page is dedicated to the

"Miami-Dade County Compliance Employee of the Month"
for the most use of his voice mail and refusal to return citizens' calls:

Mr. Danny Vuelta,
Miami-Dade County Building Code Compliance Investigator.

Mr. Vuelta should also be awarded
The most disrespectful County Employee of the Month
for his blasphemous comments concerning
former Miami-Dade County Mayor Alex Penelas
and, finally, Mr. Vuelta should be given the
Nobel Misleading Information Prize for his part in not advising the CTQB on
July 28, 2004, that his office refused to allow Keithie's Ind. Roofing Company to renew an expired permit, which forced the CTQB to reprimand Keithie's Ind. Roofing Company.

Voice Mail allows County Employees who are hired to perform a job or service to the tax payers of Miami the opportunity to be somewhere else other than on the job, like perhaps "South Beach shopping" or "playing a round of golf".

This is fraud!

There should be a County Ordinance outlawing County usage of voice mail during regular business hours (provide for special and exclusive circumstances).

What's the redeeming value of a voice mail answering service for County Government Heads and Employees? What happens to the live human being...a receptionist or a clerk or someone human responding to assisting the public?

Here we have a bait and switch serving Miami-Dade County Government push to increase your property taxes to cover basic services, but rush to decrease their responsibility to provide these services by forcing you, the tax payer, to leave a message with a computer chip rather than talking with a person employed in the department for which you're trying to reach...thus coin the phrase "Voice Mail".

Knock, knock,
Who's there?
The Law
Florida's Sunshine Law

Can you imagine needing the services of 911 and instead of a live human being picking up the phone to assist you in your emergency you get "Voice Mail Response System".

Well if Miami-Dade citizens don't speak out against this new trend of government departments using Voice Mail Systems, it probably won't be too long before 911 start experimenting with voice mail...Call the County Mayor's Office today - tell him to stop it.
